Summary: The project goal was to replace and consolidate all the existing legacy systems across the organisation, including the current mainfram. Mark initially worked as one of 8 BA's creating the functional specification before taking up his intended role as Development Team Leader for the production of a prototype and the design of the application. This was to be a vast project involving the following technologies: Siebel eScript, Siebel Handheld, Siebel CTI, Siebel Email Response, Siebel Universal Queue, EIM, EAI, Document Scanning, Intelligent Character Recognition, Oracle Financials, a custom billing solution and web portal.
Detailed Description

Mark was employed as the Development Lead on this Siebel 7.5 eEnergy implementation, but due to the size and complexity of the overall project there were a number of problems in getting the functional analysis signed off by the client. Since no development was therefore possible Mark was re-assigned as a business analyst to work in creating the functional specification along with seven other BA's.

After approximately six months a decision was made to develop a prototype, based on the information gathered from the client so far. Mark returned to his intended role as Development Lead in the production of the prototype. The intention was that the prototype would be developed in three phases, each one expanding the functionality of the previous.

Mark lead the design and development of the prototype, introducing standard templates along the way for the design and build documentation, as well as tools for managing the design and development tasks.
